How to Maintain Your Truck in Simple Ways?
Keeping your truck like a brand new one, putting in less effort and spending your hard earned money is possible with simple tips which can be carried out yourself or by any mechanic on your behalf.
· The first step in handling your truck is to follow the user-manual. If your truck is a new one, looking out for a user-manual will not be an issue. Go through and make some sense out of it thoroughly. However, if your vehicle is a used one and cannot find a manual of it, you can check out some similar vehicle manuals or try a hand with trusted mechanics, who can help you out in maintaining your truck.
· Next in the list would be, checking on the mechanic if he is certified from ASE- Automotive Service Excellence (National institute for Automotive Repair and Service Industry).
· In trucks, oil which contains special conditioning agent to seal the tank and stop it from leakage is used and seems to be effective. However, this oil should be changed every three months. Bring in minor changes, for your vehicle to live long.
· Take care of the push rods, brake chambers, air reservoirs and compressors, timing belt, air filters, spark plugs etc., which can be swapped once a while to maintain smooth running. Seasonal tunings is a must, goes without saying.
· Keep adjusting the alignment for a cool driving experience.
· If your truck is not in use, make sure you trigger the engines once in two days or more likely everyday to maintain its efficiency.
· Keep an active check on tire pressure
· If you find any color or stain while driving or on garage floor, get working on that first. Leakage of floods is common among heavy duty vehicles, but it is better to settle the issue before it bulges off.
· Hang on to the sounds made by your vehicle (hits, tinkles, etc.,)
· It is better to park your vehicle in garage all the time. It is a well known fact that when a vehicle is exposed to humidity or bad weather gets most of the damage and don’t support you for long. It also leads to corrosion.
Paying frequent attention to your truckers would surely help you in saving pennies than you lose out of not paying sufficient attention.
